Phone charging stations for car dealerships

A service customer did not choose how long the wait would be, and has no car to leave in. Ampz keeps your lounge charged and pays your store on every rental.

The wait is not the customer’s to end

Service is the one visit where the customer cannot decide when to leave. The advisor quotes a time, the time moves, and the phone is the whole visit in the meantime — work, the school pickup, the ride they are trying not to need. When the battery goes, the wait stops being a wait and becomes a complaint, and it lands on the advisor who quoted the time and then on the survey that comes after it. The outlets in a lounge went in for the TV and the coffee machine, so the ask becomes a cable from behind the service desk that nobody gets back. If you run a room where people wait rather than book, the same thing happens — see every venue type we have written up.

How it works — scan, pay, charge, return

A customer scans the machine’s QR code, pays for a power bank, and returns it to any Ampz station when they are done. They scan the code on the machine or use the app — both paths work, and nothing has to be downloaded to rent. It goes in a pocket and keeps charging, so nobody is pinned to a socket in the corner of the lounge: they can take the call outside, or walk your showroom floor while the work is finished. No staff involved, no cables behind the desk.

What your store earns

Ampz runs on the partnership model that fits your business. Every station also carries an on-machine screen, and your store gets up to three of its own promotions on it — a service special, the tire or accessory offer, the trade-in appraisal link.

Host

Ampz owns and services the machine; your venue shares in the revenue. Zero capex.

Purchase

Buy the unit outright and keep the rental income.

Lease

Fixed monthly cost, predictable, no revenue-share math.

Exact revenue terms and screen specs are set per model and location — request a plan.

Zero operational lift

Ampz handles servicing and monitoring remotely. Your advisors and porters do not manage batteries, do not troubleshoot the machine, and do not add a task to a service drive that is already full. It takes about a square foot and runs off a standard outlet — no build-out and no electrical run. Once the agreement is signed, the sequence is: site walk → install → live.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns the hardware?

Depends on your model — Ampz (Host), your store (Purchase/Lease).

Where does it go — the lounge or the showroom?

Wherever the waiting actually happens: the service lounge by the coffee, or the service reception counter. It takes about a square foot and needs a standard outlet, not a dedicated run. You know your floor better than we do, so we work that out with you.

What happens if a power bank isn't returned?

Covered in the partner agreement; not the store's liability.

How long is the contract?

Term length is set per partnership model — ask for specifics with your plan.

Does it need wifi or an electrical run?

Standard power outlet; the unit connects over cellular, not house wifi.

Can a customer take the power bank off the lot?

Yes — it goes in a pocket and comes back to any Ampz station, so a loaner run or a walk to lunch does not end the rental.

When do we see our first payout?

Payout timing is set per model — ask for specifics with your plan.

What cities is this in?

We started in Dallas and install anywhere in the US. If your venue wants a machine, apply and we will make it happen — no waitlist, no service-area restriction.
