For clinics & waiting rooms
Phone charging stations for clinics and waiting rooms
Nobody in your waiting room knows how long they will be there, and leaving means starting over. Ampz keeps the room charged and pays your practice on every rental.
Nobody knows how long they are staying
A waiting room is the longest wait people do not get to shorten. They arrived early because you asked them to, the schedule moved, and walking out means losing the slot and booking again. So the phone carries the whole wait — the employer who wants to know when they are back, the ride home, the person they left in charge of the school pickup. When the battery goes, the wait becomes a question at your front desk, and the desk is already checking in a line. The outlets in a waiting room went in for the lamps and the TV, so the ask turns into a cable borrowed from behind reception that nobody sees again, and a phone left charging on a counter your staff are then responsible for. If you run another room where people wait rather than book, the same thing happens — see every venue type we have written up.
How it works — scan, pay, charge, return
Someone scans the machine’s QR code, pays for a power bank, and returns it to any Ampz station when they are done. They scan the code on the machine or use the app — both paths work, and nothing has to be downloaded to rent. It goes in a pocket and keeps charging, so nobody is standing in the corner by the only free socket and nobody has to give up their seat to stay near it. They keep it through the appointment and drop it back on the way out. No staff involved, no cables behind reception.
What your practice earns
Ampz runs on the partnership model that fits your business. Every station also carries an on-machine screen, and your practice gets up to three of its own promotions on it — the patient portal link, the recall or follow-up reminder, the services people do not know you offer.
Host
Ampz owns and services the machine; your venue shares in the revenue. Zero capex.
Purchase
Buy the unit outright and keep the rental income.
Lease
Fixed monthly cost, predictable, no revenue-share math.
Exact revenue terms and screen specs are set per model and location — request a plan.
Zero operational lift
Ampz handles servicing and monitoring remotely. Your front desk does not hand anything out, take payment, or manage batteries, and nobody adds a task to a check-in queue that is already full. It takes about a square foot and runs off a standard outlet — no build-out and no electrical run, so nothing is opened up and no room goes out of use. Once the agreement is signed, the sequence is: site walk → install → live.
Frequently asked questions
Who owns the hardware?
Depends on your model — Ampz (Host), your practice (Purchase/Lease).
Where does it go in a waiting room?
Wherever the waiting actually happens: the reception counter, or the wall the seating faces. It takes about a square foot and needs a standard outlet, not a dedicated run. You know your floor better than we do, so we work that out with you.
Does my front desk have to do anything?
No. Renting and returning happen at the machine, so nothing is handed out, no payment is taken at the desk, and no batteries are managed by your staff.
What happens if a power bank isn't returned?
Covered in the partner agreement; not the practice's liability.
How long is the contract?
Term length is set per partnership model — ask for specifics with your plan.
Does it need wifi or an electrical run?
Standard power outlet; the unit connects over cellular, not house wifi.
Can someone take the power bank into the appointment?
Yes — it goes in a pocket and comes back to any Ampz station, so being called back does not end the rental.
When do we see our first payout?
Payout timing is set per model — ask for specifics with your plan.
What cities is this in?
We started in Dallas and install anywhere in the US. If your venue wants a machine, apply and we will make it happen — no waitlist, no service-area restriction.
