Frequently asked questions
What is a power bank rental station?
A machine at a venue that holds charged power banks. A guest scans the code on the machine or uses the app, takes a power bank, keeps using their phone while they stay, and returns it at any station in the network.
What does a phone charging station cost my business?
It depends on the model. In the Host model, Ampz owns and maintains everything — you provide the space and earn a revenue share, with no upfront capital. In the Purchase or Lease models, you own or lease the machine with Ampz supporting operations.
What happens if a guest doesn't return the power bank?
Every rental takes a refundable deposit from the guest, charged by Ampz, so your staff never chase an unreturned power bank.
Does a charging station need Wi-Fi or special wiring?
No. The Ampz Mini Pro runs on a standard 110V outlet — the same as a phone charger. The Ampz Pro has a built-in IoT SIM card, so no venue Wi-Fi is needed.
Who handles customer questions about rentals?
Ampz does. Customer support for rentals is handled entirely by Ampz, so your staff never field a rental question.
Where does Ampz install?
Anywhere in the US — no waitlist and no service-area restriction. You receive a full signed agreement before any hardware arrives.
